Monica’s Closet Transformation

My dear friend Monica in CA asked me to come help her when I was in town figure out her closet mess. She wanted to utilize the heightened ceilings in her closet because she has a lot of clothing. She already had bought previously from, The Container Store, the Elfa shelving for closet organization. So we had some organizational pieces to already work with. I was very impressed with her all she needed was for me to hold her hand and push through this project and get it done. She mapped out her closet and figured out the arranging of doing double rods on each side of a middle shelf system for her sweaters. It turned out great and now she can walk into her closet and not have anything in her way. Before During...

I have been looking for sometime about how i can organize my outfits. I don’t want to post my outfits online and turn it into a fashion blog. I just want it for my own personal use. I am excited to share what I found. It’s simple and it doesn’t have too many thrills to it and its easy to use. Just snap a picture of your outfit then categorize it and its saved. Kid Closet

We have this deep closet in our new place and I found that I don’t have alot of linens and wondered what I could do with this space. I am a sucker for activities for kids to keep their minds engaged and I love to go to Lakeshore to find these activities. I wanted a space for the children to go to utilize these items but didn’t want them in their room. So thus the Kid closet was made and I love it! Top shelf is my items that I don’t want the children to get their hands on every time they go inside. I have Joy School binders, preschool books, paint, Article of Faith posters, empty composition books and permanent markers. Second from top shelf hold a big bucket of Art supplies, chalkboard cases and chalk, sketch pads, used composition books, 4 plastic containers of scissors, glue, colored pencils, crayons, and construction paper. Second from bottom shelf holds dry erase boards and books, coloring books, BOB books, sticker books, workbooks, and math cards. Bottom shelf has all of our board games and I used this to organize them all. Then all of my children have a plastic container of “their things” like school papers and keepsakes. On the floor one of the baskets holds puppet show animals and if you notice I have a puppet show setup with the red curtains. The containers in the middle have the puppet shows that my girls music class has provided for them. One day I will post a video of the girls doing that for you its incredible to see. The other basket holds magnetic letters and animals for the Lead Frog that can be used on my magnetic white boards on the walls. I also posted on the wall the word “CREATE” because I want them to do just that I want them to find a love of creating and what better space to do it in. They can sit on the floor and hang out in the closet. It’s...
